Co-author of “Les Quatre Couteaux”
Georgos Stylianou
Georgos Stylianou is one of the four authors of the cookbook “Les Quatre Couteaux – Das Kochbuch der Hausmänner” (2026). He cooks for his family every day.
«Kochen ist für mich keine Aufgabe, sondern ein Feiern des Lebens.» Why cooking brings happiness
His cooking story begins in Cyprus. There, cooking was an event: when his father picked up the wooden spoon, it was for christenings, weddings and feasts. What stayed with him: his father’s liver and a hummus soup people came from neighbouring villages to eat.
Georgos cooks by “learning by doing” – over-salted, burnt, overcooked, he has seen it all. Music belongs to cooking: Pavarotti with pasta, bouzouki with the dishes of his homeland, blues rock when meat is on the kamado. And sometimes a quick dance between courses.
