Registrations and orders

To register for the vernissage and to order the book, the following data is processed: first and last name, email, optional phone, number of guests, dinner choice, dietary notes, number of books, delivery method, the delivery address for shipping and any message.

The data is used solely to run the vernissage and the dinner, to fulfil the order and for invoicing (performance of contract). For the dinner, the number of guests and dietary notes may be passed on to Restaurant LaSalle without contact details. Data is never passed on for advertising.

Hosting

The website and database are run by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA); the database is located in a European data centre. When the site is visited, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as IP address, time and page requested in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare is certified under the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Confirmations and invoices are sent via the email service Resend, Inc. (USA); name, email address and the content of the confirmation are transmitted.

Payment

Payment is by QR invoice to the operator’s account. No payment data such as card or account details is collected on this website.

No trackers, no cookies

The website uses no analytics, tracking or advertising tools and no cookies. Fonts and films are served from this website. The only thing stored in the browser is which menu suggestion was last shown, so that a different one appears next time. Instagram and TikTok are linked, not embedded.

Newsletter to pre-order customers

Pre-order customers receive information about their pre-order and the book launch by email. We record whether the email was delivered and opened (via an invisible image) and which links in it were clicked. This is used solely to handle the pre-orders. Unsubscribing is possible at any time by simply replying to the email.

Retention

Registration and order data is deleted once it is no longer needed, at the latest when statutory retention periods for business records expire (10 years for accounting records).

Rights of data subjects

Information about one’s data and its correction, deletion or handover can be requested at any time via hello@notrickpony.ch. A complaint may also be lodged with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or the competent EU supervisory authority.
