Why cooking brings happiness

For Adrian, cooking didn’t announce itself – it simply happened, between projects and too little sleep. But it started much earlier: in West Africa, where Omaro from Burkina Faso cooked for the family, and with his father, who spent two hours at the stove every Sunday.

During school holidays with his uncles in Switzerland he filled doughnuts in the bakery at dawn and soaked up honest country-inn cooking. Later, travelling the world, he looked into other people’s pots and recreated the dishes at home. His conclusion: you don’t just cook recipes, you cook stories.
